Grant Eligibility, Guidelines & Process

Overview

About the Program

Investing in Our Neighbors is Beale Infrastructure’s standing community investment initiative. We have committed $250,000 per operating region, per year to support nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations that improve quality of life in the communities where Beale develops and operates.

Grants are awarded on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year. We accept applications at any time, review them quarterly, and aim to notify all applicants within 60 days of receipt of a complete application.

There is no minimum or maximum grant amount, though most awards fall between $5,000 and $100,000. Multi-year funding commitments may be considered for programs with strong track records.

How We Evaluate

Evaluation Criteria

All complete applications are scored against five criteria. We share this rubric in advance so applicants can submit their strongest possible requests.

CriterionWeightWhat We Look For
Community Benefit & Reach
30%
How many people are served? How significant is the need? Does the program address a gap in existing services?
Alignment with Focus Areas
25%
Does the program clearly fall within one or more of our four pillars? Is the fit authentic rather than superficial?
Organizational Capacity & Track Record
20%
Does the organization have the operational capacity to execute successfully? Strong governance, financial stewardship, and past program success are considered.
Measurable Impact
15%
Can outcomes be clearly defined and tracked? We favor programs that can articulate specific, meaningful metrics.
Leverage & Sustainability
10%
Does Beale’s funding unlock additional resources or enable long-term sustainability? We favor catalytic investments over one-time dependency.

Grant Awards

How Grants Are Awarded

Grant decisions are made by Beale’s Community Investment Committee, a cross-functional group that meets quarterly and includes regional leadership, community relations, and senior management. No single individual makes final grant decisions.

Funding Ranges

There is no fixed minimum or maximum, but the majority of our grants fall between $5,000 and $100,000 per award. Requests above $75,000 receive additional review. We have made multi-year commitments for programs with strong track records.

Reporting Requirements

All funded organizations submit a brief mid-grant progress report and a final impact report at project completion. Reports should speak to the metrics outlined in the original application. Grantees who fulfill reporting requirements in good standing are eligible to reapply in future cycles.

Acknowledgment

We ask grantees to acknowledge Beale Infrastructure as a funding partner in materials related to the funded work. We do not require elaborate signage or naming rights for standard grants. We will coordinate specific acknowledgment language with each recipient.

Declined Applications

Organizations whose requests are declined may reapply in a future cycle. We provide brief feedback to all declined applicants upon request and encourage resubmission when appropriate.

Conflicts of Interest

Beale employees, contractors, and immediate family members may not submit applications on behalf of organizations for which they serve as officers or board members. Potential conflicts must be disclosed and are reviewed by Beale’s legal team.
